Help
Email info@skillsvalley.io. If something went wrong with a quest, include whatever reference the error showed you. That one line is usually the difference between an answer and three rounds of questions.
Your join didn't complete
Read the error before doing anything. It says which of these happened, and they want different things from you.
If it says the quest itself refused you, because it is full or has ended or you have already joined this period, then joining again straight away usually will not change that.
If it says something failed on our side and to try again, then trying again is the fix and it costs nothing.
And if it says not to try again and gives you a reference, a half-made record is in the way and repeating the join will be refused until we clear it. Send us that reference.
Whatever the ending, your tokens are never ours: they sit in your own vault, a holding account only you control, and you can release them yourself at any time. If a quest turns you away after you placed one, we return the hold to your wallet for you and the message says so.
You need POL and have none
POL is the coin the Polygon network runs on. You need a little of it for two things: a quest that asks you to hold POL, and the small fee the network itself charges to run a transaction. That fee goes to the network, not to us, and joining an ordinary quest needs no transaction at all.
There are two ways to get some. Buy POL through your own wallet if it offers that, or send POL you already hold from another wallet or from an account at a service that exchanges coins for money. Send it on the Polygon network, and check the address before you send. We are not part of either transfer, and nobody here will ever ask you for your keys.
Your hold looks like it is gone
One rule decides this, and it is not how much is in your vault right now: a hold counts only while it stays in place, so releasing it ends the entry, even if you put it back afterwards.
If you did not release and we are telling you that you did, email us straight away, and before the quest ends if you possibly can. The earlier we hear, the more of it we can still fix. Do not release in the meantime: that is the one action that would make our mistake permanently true.
You funded a quest and it didn't appear
The funds are safe. Funding happens on-chain and completes independently of anything we store, so a quest that funded but failed to save has not lost anything.
Recover it yourself first, because you are the only one who can. Open your creator page with the same wallet connected, in the same browser you created the quest in: the quest's title, description and tasks are saved there and a banner will offer to finish the save in one click. We hold the package number and the transaction hash and nothing else, so if you email us instead we cannot rebuild the quest for you. If the banner is missing, or it keeps failing, then email us with the package number and transaction hash and we will take it from there.
Rewards
Rewards are pushed to you after a quest ends. You do not need to claim anything, and you never pay a fee to receive one. If a transfer to your wallet fails for any reason, the amount is held for you to withdraw yourself rather than returned to anyone else.
Finishing every task does not always mean a reward, and that is not a fault. Quests pay in several different ways, and some of them cap how many are paid or pick who is paid, so finishing can enter you rather than pay you. A quest's own page states its rule before you join wherever we can vouch for it, and My Quests tells you what happened afterwards. If the two disagree, that is worth an email.
What you can do with your reward
A reward is your own money in your own wallet from the moment it arrives. To see it, open Profile: it shows your wallet balance and the common reward coins you are holding. My Quests shows what each quest paid you, whatever coin it paid in. Any dollar figure beside an amount is an estimate of what the coins are worth now, so the coin amount is the real one.
To move it, use your wallet's own send option: send it to another wallet address you control, or to an account you hold at a service that exchanges coins for money. We are not part of that transfer.
If you signed in with email, Google, Apple or a phone number, your wallet was created here and the keys are still yours to take with you: open the wallet menu where your address is shown, choose Manage Wallet, then Export Private Key. Whoever has that key has the money, so keep it to yourself and never send it to us or to anyone who asks for it.
What is UDAO?
UDAO is the community's own coin on the Polygon network. Many quests pay their reward in it, and the Leaderboard has a board that ranks people by how much UDAO they hold and for how long.
A quest pays in whatever coin it names, and that is not always UDAO. Any dollar figure beside an amount is an estimate of what those coins are worth now, so the coin amount is the real one.
Anything else
If you want to know how any of this works, read How it works: joining a quest, holds, and how rewards reach you. The Terms are the agreement between you and us, and the Privacy Policy says what we do with your data. For anything none of them answer, email info@skillsvalley.io.
